Windows: Outlook Express

  1. Run Outlook Express.
  2. Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts.
  3. Select Mail tab.
  4. Click Add, and then select Mail from the next menu. The Internet Connection Wizard will open.
  5. Enter your Display Name (it is the name that your recipients will see in the FROM field), e.g. John Smith. Click Next.
  6. Enter your Email Address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net. Click Next.
  7. Select IMAP from the "My incoming mail server is a" drop-down menu.
  8. Enter expertspace.net in "Incoming mail server" and "Outgoing mail server." Click Next.
  9. Enter your Account name e.g. jsmith and Password.
  10. Click Next, and then Finish.
  11. Select created email account in the list and click Properties.
  12. Click Servers tab.
  13. Check "My server requires authentication".
  14. Optional - click Advanced tab. Check both "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" checkboxes.
  15. Click Apply, then OK and Close.

Windows: Windows Mail

  1. Run Windows Mail.
  2. Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts.
  3. Select Mail tab.
  4. Click Add, and then select E-mail Account.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter your Display Name (it is the name that your recipients will see in the FROM field), e.g. John Smith. Click Next.
  7. Enter your E-mail Address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net. Click Next.
  8. Select IMAP from the "My incoming e-mail server type" drop-down menu.
  9. Enter expertspace.net in "Incoming e-mail server" and "Outgoing e-mail server."
  10. Check "My server requires authentication," then click Next.
  11. Enter your E-mail username e.g. jsmith and Password.
  12. Click Next, and then Finish.
  13. Select created email account in the list and click Properties.
  14. Click Servers tab.
  15. Optional - click Advanced tab. Check both "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" checkboxes.
  16. Click Apply, then OK and Close.

Windows: Mozilla Thunderbird 2

  1. Run Thunderbird.
  2. Select "Don't import anything" and click Next.
  3. Select "Email account" and click Next.
  4. Enter your name (it is the name that your recipients will see in the FROM field), e.g. John Smith.
  5. Enter your email address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net. Click Next.
  6. Select IMAP and enter expertspace.net in "Incoming server" and "Outgoing server" fields.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter your username e.g. jsmith in "Incoming user name" field and click Next.
  9. Enter your account name e.g. jsmith and click Next.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. In the Password window enter your password, check "Use Password Manager to remeber password", then click OK. 

Windows: Outlook 2000

Can be run on Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4, XP Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Home, Business, Enterprise or Ultimate editions

  1. Install MS Outlook 2000 Service Pack 3.
  2. Install Outlook Connector.
  3. Open Control Panel (Start → Settings → Control Panel) and click Mail.
  4. Click Show Profiles.
  5. Click Add and enter new profile name, e.g. ExpertSpace. Click OK.
  6. Click Email Accounts, then select "Add a new email account" and click Next.
  7. Select the "Additional server types" option from the list and click Next.
  8. Select the Kerio MailServer option and click Next.
  9. In the Server Name field enter expertspace.net, in Account Name enter your account name e.g. jsmith, and in Password field - your password.
  10. Click "Check connection" button to test if correct user data has been specified. If the test is finished successfully, a corresponding User Name and Email Address are automatically filled in.
  11. Select Advanced tab and check "Secured Connection".
  12. Select Sender tab
  13. Enter Name (it is the name that your recipients will see in the FROM field) e.g. John Smith" and E-mail Address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net. Click OK.
  14. Click Email Accounts again, then select "View or Change Existing Email Accounts" and click Next.
  15. Select "Kerio" or "Kerio Outlook Connector Store" in "Deliver new e-mail to the following location" menu. Click Finish.
  16. Run Outlook.
  17. Select your profile e.g. ExpertSpace if Outlook will ask the profile name.

Windows: Outlook XP

Can be run on Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4, XP Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Home, Business, Enterprise or Ultimate editions. Provides all collaboration features of Outlook.

Mac OS X: Outlook Express

  1. Run Outlook Express.
  2. Click Tools menu from the top navigation bar, and then click Accounts.
  3. Click New tab.
  4. Enter your Display Name (it is the name that your recipients will see in the FROM field), e.g. John Smith. Click the right arrow.
  5. Enter your Email Address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net. Click the right arrow.
  6. Select IMAP from the "My incoming mail server is a" drop-down menu.
  7. Enter expertspace.net in "Incoming mail server" and "Outgoing mail server." Click the right arrow.
  8. Enter your account name in Account ID field e.g. jsmith and password in the Password field. Click the right arrow.
  9. In the Account name field, enter your email address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. Click Configure account manually.
  12. Under the Sending Mail header, go to “Click here for advanced sending options”
  13. Check the "SMTP service requires secure connection" checkbox.
  14. Check the "SMTP server requires authentication" field.
  15. Select the "Use same settings as incoming mail server" radio button.
  16. Click Finish.

Mac OS X: MS Entourage X

MS Entourage must be installed on Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther or Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Each user profile in MS Entourage can be used for an only ExpertSpace account. Any other accounts will be disabled, functionality of POP3 and IMAP accounts is not affected.

  1. Select Accounts in the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Exchange tab.
  3. Click the New button on the Accounts dialog box toolbar.
  4. Click "Configure account manually".
  5. Enter Account name, e.g. jsmith-es account
  6. Enter Account ID e.g. jsmith@expertspace.net
  7. Enter your password
  8. Enter Domain expertspace.net,
  9. Enter Exchange server expertspace.net
  10. Enter Name e.g. John Smith
  11. Enter your email address e.g. jsmith@expertspace.net
  12. Enter SMTP server expertspace.net
  13. Click the Directory tab.
  14. Enter LDAP server expertspace.net
  15. Click the "Click here for advanced options" and disable "Override default LDAP port" checkbox if it is enabled.
  16. Click the Advanced tab.
  17. Enter Free/Busy server  expertspace.net/public
  18. Click OK

Mac OS X: MS Entourage 2004

MS Entourage must be installed on Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther or Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Each user profile in MS Entourage can be used for an only ExpertSpace account. Any other accounts will be disabled, functionality of POP3 and IMAP accounts is not affected.

  1. Select Accounts in the Tools menu.
  2. Click New button.
  3. Click "Configure account manually".
  4. Enter Account name, e.g. jsmith-es account
  5. Enter Name e.g. John Smith
  6. Enter your email address e.g. jsmith@expertspace.net
  7. Enter Account ID e.g. jsmith@expertspace.net
  8. Enter Domain expertspace.net
  9. Enter your password
  10. Enter Exchange server expertspace.net
  11. Click the Advanced tab.
  12. Enter Public Folder Server  expertspace.net/public
  13. Enter LDAP server expertspace.net
  14. Check "This server requires me to log on"
  15. Check "Override default LDAP port " and enter 389 in the next field
  16. Click OK

Windows mobile: Windows Mobile 2002

ExpertSpace provides synchronization of email, calendar, contacts.

  1. Set up Internet connection and install SSL certificate: http://expertspace.net/gd-root-wm.cab
  2. Tap Start menu and run ActiveSync
  3. Tap Tools and select Options
  4. Tap Server Tab
  5. Check Calendar, Contacts, Inbox and enter expertspace.net in Server Name field
  6. Tap Advanced button
  7. Enter your username e.g. jsmith
  8. Enter your password
  9. Enter Domain expertspace.net
  10. Check Save password
  11. Tap Rules Tab
  12. Select "Always replace the item on my device" and tap OK
  13. Tap OK button. To test synchronization, tap Sync button in the ActiveSync main window.

Windows mobile: Windows Mobile 2003 and 2003 SE

ExpertSpace provides synchronization of email, calendar, contacts. Wipe is enabled.

  1. Set up Internet connection and install SSL certificate: http://expertspace.net/gd-root-wm.cab
  2. Tap Start menu and run ActiveSync
  3. Tap Tools and select Options
  4. Tap Server Tab
  5. Check Calendar, Contacts, Inbox, "This server uses an SSL connection" and enter expertspace.net in Sync with this server field
  6. Tap Options button
  7. Enter your username e.g. jsmith
  8. Enter your password
  9. Enter Domain expertspace.net
  10. Check Save password
  11. Tap Rules Tab
  12. Select "Replace the item on my device" and tap OK
  13. Tap OK button. To test synchronization, tap Sync button in the ActiveSync main window.

Windows mobile: Windows Mobile 5.0

ExpertSpace provides synchronization of email, calendar, contacts, tasks. Wipe, Global Address Lookup and DirectPush is enabled.

  1. Set up Internet connection and install SSL certificate: http://expertspace.net/gd-root-wm.cab
  2. Tap Start menu and run ActiveSync
  3. Tap "Set up your device to sync with it" link
  4. Enter Server address expertspace.net and check "This server uses an SSL connection". Tap Next.
  5. Enter your username e.g. jsmith
  6. Enter your password
  7. Enter Domain expertspace.net
  8. Check Save password
  9. Tap Advanced button
  10. Select "Replace the item on my device" and tap Next
  11. Check Contacts, Calendar, E-mail, Tasks
  12. Tap Finish. The first synchronization will be started. During the first synchronization, a dialog appears requiring Wipe confirmation, tap OK button.

  1. Open Wizard and click Next
  2. Select IMAP from the list, then click Next
  3. Enter your name e.g. John Smith in the Real name field, email address e.g. john.smith@expertspace.net in the E-mail address field.
  4. Click Next
  5. Enter your Login name e.g. jsmith and Password, then click Next
  6. Enter expertspace.net in both Incoming server and Outgoing server fields
  7. Click Finish
